Stop. (I’m not really expecting anyone to read this but…) If you are easily offended or extremely bored with discussions about faith (in God) and Christianity, then better not continue but if not then read on.
I find it very disturbing that other people waste (yes you read it right) their time compelling other people to change their religion or give up their faith for what they call “something better.” For your info, I know that it is God’s (I am referring to Christianity) will to spread his good news. Everyone has the right to do it their own way but I don’t think it gives some people, the right to force other people to believe in what they think is true especially when they have different religions. Why did I mention different religions? It is because I want to stress that everyone has different beliefs and not everyone knows what they consider true in that particular religion. We won’t know their creed’s traditions and beliefs just by reading books. We are the ones doing and experiencing the things we do in our own religion. This applies to Christianity (especially Christianity having a lot of different congregations). I can’t say that you have lesser faith nor can you say that to me. We cannot judge by just the things we see. Our God taught us to respect one another and this includes our opinions (even though a person doesn’t believe in God, I think it is common knowledge to respect other’s opinions). It is okay if you want to share your beliefs but please do not force it on others. I enjoy talking to my friends who have different religious affiliations and we never end up arguing about it. Instead, we educate ourselves with our differences and similarities.
This is just a very small portion of what I wanted to share and I don’t want to write any more of what I am thinking now because I might include many unnecessary complaints and bitterness haha!
